 Tools Needed

Before you begin, ensure you have the following tools:

  •  1/4″ drill bit
  •  Drill
  •  9/16 or 14mm socket wrench
  • Marking pencil
  • Level

Step 1: Find a Good Mounting Location

Using the Starlink app's obstruction scanning tool, evaluate potential mounting locations by standing near the desired spot on your roof. Consider factors like overhang and obstructions to ensure optimal performance.

Step 2: Mark the Pilot Hole Locations

Hold the mount against the wall or fascia with a level and mark the locations of two pilot holes using the holes on the back of the mount as a template.

Step 3: Drill the Pilot Holes

Using a drill and a 1/4″ bit, drill two pilot holes in the marked locations.

Step 4: Secure the Mount with Lag Screws

Apply silicone sealant to each hole, then secure the mount with the included lag screws. Double-check the alignment and tighten the lag screws.

 Step 5: Assemble the Mast

On the ground, snap the mounting plate to the mast, ensuring a secure fit.

Step 6: Install the Mast Adapter to the Gen 3 Dish

Remove the kickstand from the Gen 3 dish, connect the Starlink cable to the dish, and install the mast adapter securely.

Step 7: Install the Mast on the Mount

Feed the Starlink cable through the mount, insert the mast into the mount, and tighten the adjustment knob.

Step 8: Route the Starlink Cable

Route the Starlink cable into your house using the provided cable clips or routing kit. Protect the cable connector during the process.

 Step 9: Boot up Starlink

Connect the Gen 3 router, power up the system, and wait for Starlink to boot up. Connect to the Starlink Wi-Fi network and ensure online status.

 Step 10: Align the Dish

If misaligned, manually rotate the dish using the alignment tool in the Starlink app until properly aimed. Tighten the adjustment knob to secure the alignment.
